SINCE 1962
A LEGACY OF FAITH AND FAITHFULNESS
In 1962, Bishop Wilbur Konkle received an unexpected letter from a man he had never met, from Liberia—a country he had never visited.
He prayed. He answered the call. And this highly respected, caring, selfless, servant leader went. He showed up and simply asked, “How can we help?”
That act of obedience helped begin what is now Pillar Missions in Liberia.
More than six decades later, that seed has grown into Christian schools, churches, medical care, discipleship, Gospel outreach, and community development—impacting generations of lives for Christ. Thousands of impoverished children have received Christ, a good education, and have left a powerful Gospel impact in Liberia, the United States, and around the world.
The ministry has persevered through extraordinary seasons in Liberia’s history, including two devastating civil wars, and by God’s grace, the work continues today.
One man answered the call to go. Today, we invite you to help carry the mission forward.

2026 MISSION PRIORITIES
Please Help Pillar Missions Finish 2026 Strong
As we move through the final months of 2026, several important ministry needs remain before us.
Rather than simply presenting one large fundraising goal, we want to show specifically where help is needed and what your generosity can accomplish.
Perhaps you can fund an entire opportunity. Perhaps you can take a portion of one. Perhaps your church, business, family, or group can come alongside one particular need.

The Power of partnership
The 2023 Poker Run to raise funds to purchase motorbikes for our Regional Directors happened on June 4th.
The reason I participated in the Liberian Motorbike fundraiser is to echo Bro. Gary’s words, “to do something that you love to do and bless others with that is indeed a blessing.” Thank You, Lord, for blessing me.

2023 Poker Run
Pillar Missions invited our supporters to invest in our pastors. Most of our pastors in Liberia have never owned a study-Bible. With our investors’ support, we were able to give 50 African study Bibles to our senior and associate pastors.
