A LEGACY OF FAITH AND FAITHFULNESS
In 1962, Bishop Wilbur Konkle received an unexpected letter from a man he had never met, from Liberia—a country he had never visited.
He prayed. He answered the call. And this highly respected, caring, selfless, servant leader went. He showed up and simply asked, “How can we help?”
That act of obedience helped begin what is now Pillar Missions in Liberia.
More than six decades later, that seed has grown into Christian schools, churches, medical care, discipleship, Gospel outreach, and community development—impacting generations of lives for Christ. Thousands of impoverished children have received Christ, a good education, and have left a powerful Gospel impact in Liberia, the United States, and around the world.
The ministry has persevered through extraordinary seasons in Liberia’s history, including two devastating civil wars, and by God’s grace, the work continues today.
One man answered the call to go. Today, we invite you to help carry the mission forward.
