Rev. Dr. Luther Tarpeh

National Director

Born near the historic Pillar of Fire Mission in Po River, Rivercess County, Liberia, Luther’s spiritual journey began with deep roots in the ministry—his maternal grandfather was one of the first three members of Pillar Ministries in Liberia. At the age of 13, Luther gave his life to Christ, and just a few years later, in 1991, he received a divine calling after surviving a powerful storm. That life-changing encounter set him on a path of passionate service, leading him to preach and teach God’s Word as a youth pastor during the Liberian Civil War. Through his ministry, many young lives were transformed for Christ.

Following high school, Luther was sent by Pillar of Fire to Nigeria to further pursue his calling. He studied for the ministry at Wesley Theological Seminary in Imo State, where he also met his beloved wife, Christine. Together, they planted two churches under the Pillar of Fire banner and led the ministry’s work in Nigeria for three fruitful years. Today, Rev. Dr. Luther Tarpeh and Christine continue to lead the Pillar Ministries work in Liberia. Their marriage is joyfully blessed with three children: Teah, Nate, and Liz.

Today, Luther serves as the National Field Director of Pillar Missions in Liberia, continuing to lead with faith, wisdom, and dedication. Beyond his ministry work, he also holds a cabinet-level position in the national government, and is known for his integrity, visionary role in shaping a brighter and more prosperous future for all Liberians.
