Shyamala Magdalene is a third-generation Christian who accepted the Lord at the age of 10. She graduated from Women’s Christian College, Chennai, India, in 1991 with a degree in Physics and Computer Science. After her marriage, she and her family followed God’s call, living in various countries and actively serving in ministry. Shyamala is passionate about sharing God’s Word and interceding in prayer for others. At New Life Assemblies of God (A.G.) Church in Chennai, India, she played a key role in Vacation Bible School (VBS) for a few years, contributing to planning, teaching, and mentoring children.
From 2000 to 2008, she mentored female engineering students at the university level, as well as international high school students for two years in Coimbatore, India—encouraging them in their personal growth and spiritual walk. She served as an English instructor at the Wall Street English Institute in Napoli, Italy (2009–2010), and later in Grenoble, France (2015). While in Malaysia, she organized and led VBS programs at Gereja Dunamis A.G. in Kuala Lumpur and the Baptist Church in Petaling Jaya. She also participated in short-term mission projects, served as church secretary, and assisted in the church library. From 2007 to 2017, she supported the founder of the international ministry DHMI in France with administrative responsibilities.
During her time at the International Church of Grenoble (2014–2015), she contributed to the worship team, participated in music selection, and maintained a database to organize songs. In 2016, Shyamala helped establish the Media Center at Metuchen Christian Academy in New Jersey. She later served as administrator and secretary for the nonprofit Love Never Fails International in Metuchen from 2018 to 2019. Since 2015, she has been an active member of the Asian Indian Christian Church in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, where she contributes to the choir, provides media support, and serves in children’s and prayer ministries.
In 2022, she joined the Pillar Missions Team, continuing her commitment to serving God and impacting lives through ministry, education, and prayer.
