Bill and Debby arrived at the Po River Mission station in the first week of August. They were received by the National Field Director Rev. Luther Tarpeh and his wife, Christine, in Monrovia. They started to the Po River Mission site, first on a land cruiser, followed by a boat ride across the Po River, then hopped on to motorbikes for the 5-mile ride through the jungle to the Po Mission site. They also stopped along the way at the Oceanview Christian School, Buchanan. They were given an enthusiastic welcome by the Pillar family at Po River with a mention in the local news there.
