Since 1962, Pillar Missions has pursued Gospel-centered transformation in Liberia, with a special focus on serving vulnerable children through Christ-centered education. In a nation shaped by two devastating civil wars that claimed hundreds of thousands of lives and displaced millions—along with Ebola outbreaks and widespread poverty—we have responded with hope. Schools have been built, a medical clinic established, churches planted, and critical humanitarian aid provided, all grounded in the love of Christ.

For decades, the children of Liberia have been at the heart of this mission. Through education, discipleship, and daily care, young lives have been nurtured and futures reshaped. Some of those students have grown into nation changers—including Rev. Dr. Luther Tarpeh, our Field Director, now one of the most influential government leaders and public voices in West Africa.

Today, we stand alongside the Liberian-led Pillar of Fire Church, equipping leaders, strengthening schools, and advancing the Gospel in underserved communities. Our vision is both practical and eternal: to uplift the daily lives of Liberian families while raising up indigenous ambassadors for Christ who will carry the Gospel across Liberia and into West Africa.
